At the National Table of Religious Affairs in Colombia, led by the Vice Minister of Political Relations, Francisco José Chaux, and the Director of Religious Affairs, Lorena Ríos, proposed that Colombia will be the seat of a regional religious freedom forum in November. To this purpose they will work in two support committees: an academic one in which the topics to be developed will be evaluated, and the budget in which an economic fund will be created to carry out this meeting, which contributes to the strengthening and growth of the religious sector in the country.
In the multi-religious dialogue, which was attended by different national leaders of the Confessions, Communities, Churches, Federations and Interreligious Platforms of the country and members of the International Roundtable of Religious Freedom of Washington DC, the advances, proposals and reports on the needs of religious and cult freedom in Latin America.
In this space, Lorena Ríos highlighted the work done by Vice Minister Chaux, in strengthening this table of religious plurality, not only with different projects, but in dialogue with the sector. For their part, the religious leaders, who participated in this meeting, highlighted the work of Lorena Ríos in the progress made by the Directorate in the religious sector of the country.
