Minister of the Interior, Guillermo Rivera will accompany President Santos tomorrow, April 2, in visit to works of the Reconstruction Plan of Mocoa

At 10:30 in the morning, President Juan Manuel Santos and part of his cabinet will make a tour in Mocoa (Putumayo), to follow up on the progress of the reconstruction works of the city, one year after the avalanche. They will also learn first-hand about the programs and projects for economic and social rehabilitation, which benefit, above all, the families affected.

After the tragedy that took place a year ago in the capital of Putumayo, due to the increased flow of the Mocoa, Sangoyaco and Mulato rivers, the national government launched the Plan for the Reconstruction of Mocoa, designed to be executed in three years and that it has had a budget of 1.2 billion COPs for social, economic, institutional, connectivity and regional integration and territorial planning projects.

The "Operation Mocoa" process has been carried out with the support of the Attorney General's Office, the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic, the Office of the Ombudsman and the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation.
