The Director of Government and Territorial Management, Fabio Augusto Parra, led the signing of the Grand Pact to eradicate the crime of trafficking in persons, during the "V Public hearing on the fight against trafficking in persons, abuse and sexual exploitation of women, children and adolescents of the Coffee Region ", organized by the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation.
The Ministry of the Interior, as leader of the public policy against trafficking in persons and in exercise of the Technical Secretariat of the Inter-Institutional Committee against Trafficking in Persons, reiterated its commitment to coordinate and articulate inter-institutional assistance and protection programs for victims. Likewise, the director emphasized the importance of prevention as the main axis of action against this crime.
This Grand Pact, in which they committed to work together to fight against trafficking, also joined the Attorney General's Office, ICBF, National Police, Quindío, Caldas and Risaralda governorates, as well as the mayors of these departments.
