From 21 to 23 May, investment priorities of indigenous communities will be defined in the Development Plan

"During these three days, the National Planning Department, DNP, the Ministry of the Interior and all entities at the national level will review the investment priorities, in accordance with the commitments established in the National Development Plan," announced the Minister of the Interior, Nancy Patricia Gutiérrez, in the workshop Construyendo Paìs', in Mocoa, after meeting, together with Gloria Alonso, DNP director, with Pablo Jamioy and Julio César López, leaders of the indigenous peoples of the National Organization of the Indigenous Peoples of the Colombian Amazonia, OPIAC. Next Monday, May 13, "we will be defining procedures with the National Planning Department ,DNP, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Land Agency, the Rural Development Agency and all the entities that will be participating. We hope to have the participation of mayors and governors to define these investment plans”, she added. The Minister informed the indigenous communities that "this will be an activity that will be done in each of the departments, at tables with indigenous peoples and communities, and at other tables with the black, Afro-Colombian, Raizales and Palenqueras communities." On the Communal Action Boards, JAC, she made the following announcement: "In the National Development Plan, the possibility of contracting small works of all the Government with the Communal Action Boards was approved. We have been working with Invías, the Ministry of Transport, and in some other dependencies this initiative can be carried out." "With the Community Action Boards we have our public policy, through a CONPES. The announcement for the presentation of JAC projects is in execution, with small projects for the urban and rural boards ": she added.
