"In joint work with local authorities we can inform the citizens of Bolívar that everything is ready for a transparent election" the senior official said.
The Deputy Minister of the Interior, Eduardo Garzón Torres, in the Departmental Commission for Electoral Follow-up in Cartagena, ratified the normal conditions in the department of Bolívar before the next elections to the Presidency of the Republic.
"As a national government we are going through the 32 departments to learn first-hand the electoral device for the elections that will take place next Sunday, May 27” Garzón said, adding that "we will work as a team with local authorities and ensure that this election to the Presidency is characterized by being free, transparent and in peace”.
Five days before the elections, the Vice Minister reminded the citizens that: "if they see a crime, they denounce it through the URIEL tool, through the available channels: the national toll-free line 018000912005, the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org and the website www.uriel.mininterior.gov.co” he said.
According to the National Registry of Civil State, in Bolivar the electoral potential is 1,550,644 citizens qualified to pay, of which 782,557 are women and 768,087 are men. In turn, there will be 4,224 tables in 529 polling stations throughout the department.
