"Today we have delivered 405 new vans to the National Police throughout the country, as a result of the Timely Action Plan, PAO, for the Prevention and Protection for Human Rights Defenders, Social Leaders, Communal and Journalists", said the Minister of Interior, Nancy Patricia Gutiérrez, at the end of the ceremony held at the General Francisco de Paula Santander Cadet School, where police and mayors received the first 48 vehicles for Bogotá and municipalities in the Cundinamarca department. She said that "in more than 30 territories we visited, we were always asked to strengthen the National Police", which is why "the new car park will become a working tool to facilitate the security conditions in the territory". In the act of delivery, the Minister said that "this new car park will be used to protect the life and integrity of our compatriots. The vehicles will reach 233 municipalities to strengthen security and coexistence". "The life of our leaders is sacred, as sacred is life itself. We will preserve your breath, your voice and your energy", she concluded.
