Colombia is with you: One Million Families, the campaign led by the Interior Ministry that seeks to deliver a million markets during the preventive isolation decreed by the National Government to combat Covid-19, reached Mocoa, Putumayo.
In this opportunity, the indigenous communities of this department are being benefited with the delivery of decent markets that contain the basic products of the family basket. “With a rigorous list we are and will be present with humanitarian assistance in the places that they need it. I insist that we are trying to be as efficiently as possible and we will comply”, assured the Interior Minister, Alicia Arango Olmos.
The beneficiary populations are vulnerable families from the indigenous, black, palenqueras, Afros, Rom, Raizales, religious, LGBTI, social leaders, human rights defenders and members of the community action boards.
Each market has basic products from the family basket such as brown sugar, beans, vegetable oil in plastic containers, whole milk powder, lentils, cornmeal, panela, tuna, rice, salt, coffee, chocolate, fortified wheat flour and pasta, spaghetti type.
'Colombia Is With You: One Million Families' will continue to reach the 32 departments of the country, during the mandatory preventive isolation decreed in the health emergency due to the COVID-19 coronavirus and has the support of the Ministry of Defense, the National Unit of Disaster Risk Management, Colombia Efficient Purchase, the Office of the Ombudsman, the Military Forces and the Colombian National Fire Department.
During the campaign, markets have been delivered in Cundinamarca, La Guajira, Chocó, Nariño, San Andrés, Norte de Santander, Amazonas, Cauca, Bogotá D.C., Valle del Cauca, Sucre, Cesar, Bogotá D.C. and Antioquia.
